Eredivisie round-up

Roda claimed second spot in Eredivisie following a 1-0 win at Willem II.

Roda claimed second spot in Eredivisie following a 1-0 win at Willem II.

The Kerkrade outfit's excellent start to the season continued thanks to Adil Ramzi's (pictured) goal which arrived on the hour at The Willem II Stadion, which was enough to take the victory.

FC Twente moved into sixth following a remarkable 4-3 win over RKC Waalwijk.

RKC raced into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Tim Janssen (17) and Pius Ikedia (24).

Orlando Engelaar pulled one back just before the interval, but Janssen's second on the hour looked to have won it for RKC.

However, Twente showed great resilience as they levelled with 20 minutes remaining as Sharbel Touma (70) and Blaise N'Kufo (73) pounced.

The winner came in the final minute as Kennedy Bakircioglu fired home.

Excelsior are up to seventh in the table after a 3-1 success over city-rivals Sparta Rotterdam.

Jarda Simr opened the scoring in the first half before late goals from Sebastiaan Steur (75) and Daniel Guijo-Velasco (81) sealed the win, while Haris Medunjanin pulled back a late consolation for the visitors.
