Austria Vienna have handed a trial to PSV Eindhoven keeper Jelle Ten Rouwelaar.
The keeper has been informed by his Dutch club that he is surplus to requirements and this has prompted him to head to Austria for a trial.
The Austrian champions are eager to bolster their keeping options and are hoping Ten Rouwelaar comes up to scratch.
Ten Rouwelaar played 55 minutes of the 3-1 friendly win over MTK Budapest and is believed to have impressed.
The 25-year-old is due to return to Eindhoven on Friday, with Vienna likely to make a decision on the keeper over the weekend.
Coach Frenkie Schinkels and his goalkeeping trainer Franz Gruber have been impressed with Ten Rouwelaar and the signs are suggesting he will be offered the chance to challenge Szabolcs Safar for the number one slot.
