PSV Eindhoven reclaimed top spot in De Eredivisie after thumping Willem II Tilburg 4-1 at Philips Stadion.

The reigning champions had been locked on points with AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord, but have temporarily, at least, moved ahead outright.

A first half double from Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink had put PSV in front, after Willem II had taken a 15th minute lead through Jatto Ceesay.

Jefferson Farfan handed PSV a cushion with a 63rd minute effort and Mika Vayrynen notched a fourth goal in injury time.

Heerenveen climbed into sixth in the table after winning 3-1 at home to Twente Enschede.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar opened the scoring on 13 minutes and Lars Nilsson - a 32nd minute substitute - scored the next five minutes before half time.

Huntelaar tucked home a penalty four minutes after the interval, while Twente grabbed a consolation through Patrick Gerritsen on 77 minutes.

RBC Roosendaal remain bottom and without a win this season after losing 2-0 at home to Roda JC Kerkrade.

Laszlo Bodnar bagged Roda JC's first goal on 20 minutes and Gregoor van Dijk poached the second three minutes before the break.
