PSV Eindhoven are readying a bid for Club Brugge midfielder Timmy Simons.PSV Eindhoven are looking to capitalise on Feyenoord's failure to sign Timmy Simons by moving in for the Belgian international.
The 28-year-old had been strongly linked with a move to De Kuip, but Feyenoord failed to match Brugge's valuation and the deal was shelved.
PSV have been monitoring the situation with interest and coach Guus Hiddink has stepped in after seeing Feyenoord's move flounder.
Brugge are determined to secure the best possible fee for the midfielder and the signs are suggesting PSV's opening gambit is closer to their valuation than the offer Feyenoord failed with.
The Belgian club feel PSV are more willing to negotiate than Feyenoord and a deal could be struck in the near future.
Hiddink views Simons as the player capable of filling the void left by Mark van Bommel's departure to Barcelona.
