Arkadiusz Milik believes Ajax is the perfect place to further his development and is looking forward to getting his loan spell started.

The 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen striker, who spent last season at Augsburg, agreed another season-long switch to the Amsterdam club last month.

Although it means spending a second successive season away from Leverkusen, Milik is thrilled about linking up with the four-time European Cup winners.

"I've made three big moves in my career to date - from Gornik Zabrze to Bayer Leverkusen, a loan to Augsburg and now Ajax," he told UEFA.com.

"The third one was the easiest, the easiest decision to take. Ajax have a great reputation for their work with young players and I would like to take advantage of it.

"Some might say that the Bundesliga is stronger than the Dutch league, but that does not matter to me.

"Ajax are a Champions League club and I am sure it is the ideal place for me."

Milik is relishing the chance to learn from Ajax boss Frank De Boer, as well as coaches Dennis Bergkamp and Marc Overmars, all of whom played for the club themselves.

"It is really impressive," he added. "They all had great careers and I have confidence I will be in very good hands.

"Although I don't remember all of Bergkamp's goals, there is no doubt he was a great player and I could learn a lot from him."
