Frank de Boer praised his young Ajax side after they beat Celtic 1-0 in Amsterdam to boost their UEFA Champions League qualification hopes.
The winner came six minutes after the break via Lasse Schone, who slipped the ball past Fraser Forster after working a one-two with Thulani Serero at the edge of the Hoops box.
The win lifted the Dutch champions into third in the Group H table - a point ahead of the Hoops and a point behind second-placed AC Milan - with two games left.
"I think the best team won," de Boer told Sky Sports.
"After a great goal, we were a little bit doubting (when trying to get the second goal). Maybe that showed the inexperience of my team.
"But overall I was very satisfied with the performance, how they battled for every ball.
"Such a young team and they won against Celtic, it's a great performance."
De Boer refused to write off Celtic's chances of qualifying out of the group.
He said: "Celtic still have a chance, they are still only two points behind Milan.
"There was more pressure on us after the game in Scotland so we are relieved.
"It is still wide open and we have still to go to the San Siro.
"We also have to play against Barcelona and a point will be a bonus point.
"You seen from Celtic last year (against Barcelona) that anything is possible.
"They are already qualified and we have nothing to lose."
