Juventus new boy Zdenek Grygera does not believe he will be left out in the cold.
New Juventus signing Zdenek Grygera does not feel he will be left out in the cold at the Stadio Delle Alpi, despite the arrival of Claudio Ranieri.
The midfielder agreed to join the Italian giants from Ajax on a Bosman transfer at the end of the last season while Didier Deschamps was still the Juventus manager.
Since the agreement Deschamps has resigned and has been replaced by 'The Tinkerman' Ranieri, but Grygera is not daunted by the prospect.
"It is a fact that Deschamps knows me well," Grygera told Sport.
"He wanted me in his team when he was coaching at Monaco.
"But the Juventus management wanted to sign me too.
"We will see how it goes under Ranieri. I will try to gain ground there."
The 27-year-old has also declared himself fully fit ahead of the new campaign in Serie A after missing the end of the season in Holland following surgery on left knee cartilage.
"After the surgery my left thigh muscle had wasted away," Grygera told Sport.
"So I have been swimming a lot and strengthening the muscles.
"The Juventus team doctor is going to visit me to check my fitness. I feel 100% fit."
