Ajax keeper Maarten Stekelenburg has been given the nod to start for Holland in their Euro 2008 qualifier with Romania.
Manchester United keeper Edwin van der Sar is the Dutch number one, but he ruled himself out of Saturday's clash and this left coach Marco van Basten to decide on whether to start with Stekelenburg or Feyenoord's Henk Timmer.
Van Basten has been impressed with both keepers, but has opted to go with Stekelenburg.
"In the friendly against England both keepers have played one half and the match after that Maarten played," Van Basten said at a press conference at the Dutch training camp on Thursday. "He did well in that game and we are pleased with him.
"At this moment Maarten has got a lead compared with Henk."
AZ Alkmaar midfielder Demy de Zeeuw is set to take on the holding role ahead of Denny Landzaat and Nigel de Jong, while Ajax forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar seems set to take on a striking berth.
