Champions PSV Eindhoven have leapfrogged Ajax to the summit of the Eredivisie after a 1-0 win at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Belgium international Timmy Simons (pictured) struck PSV's winner on 63 minutes of Sunday's big clash in the Dutch top flight.
Despite having Edison Mendez sent off for a second bookable offence on 71 minutes, PSV held on to go top of the table by a single point.

Kolkka (61) and Buijs (67) made it 5-2 before a Anour Hadouir penalty (75) for the home side completed the scoring in Tilburg.
Feyenoord finished the eight-goal contest with ten men, as Dwight Tiendalli was sent off for a deliberate handball on 76 minutes.
Vitesse Arnhem moved to within a point of Utrecht after a 4-2 win at the Gelredome.
Etienne Esajas (7), Onur Kaya (26), Sebastien Sansoni (49) and a Danko Lazovic penalty (81) sent Vitesse on their way to the three points.
Peter Kopteff (71) and Robin Nelisse (76) replied for Utrecht in a losing effort.
In a battle of the bottom two, Sparta Rotterdam claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory over ADO Den Haag.
Yuri Rose (40) gave Sparta the lead before Kristoffer Weckstrom (79) levelled matters for Den Haag.
Deep into injury time at the end of the game, Danny Schenkel scored Sparta's winner.
