PSV Eindhoven maintained their unbeaten start to the season after a 2-0 win over rivals Ajax at the Philips Stadion.
Goals either side of half time from Lee Young-pyo (pictured) and John de Jong heaped more misery on Ronald Koeman's side.
The win preserves PSV's superb start to the season that has seen the side drop just two points all term, while at the back the team have conceded just five times from eight games.
Ajax began the contest brightly enough, following their impressive UEFA Champions League win in midweek, but were undone before the break by Young-pyo.
The contest was effectively over shortly after the interval when de Jong netted to clinch the points for the home side.
The defeat leaves Ajax languishing outside the leading pack and seven points adrift of league leaders PSV.
Feyenoord kept up the pace with PSV following a comfortable 4-0 victory over RKC Waalwijk at De Kuip.
Romeo Castelen got the ball rolling with an early goal, but it was not until the second half did the flood gates open.
Bart Goor doubled the score shortly after the hour mark and further efforts from Dirk Kuyt and a second from Goor settled the tie.
Utrecht lost ground on the leading pack after being sunk by a late double salvo.
Klaas Jan Huntelaar netted twice in the final ten minutes to put Heerenveen in control.
There was still time for substitute Richal Leitoe to pull one back but it could not prevent a 2-1 defeat.
Roda secured their fourth league win of the campaign after a thumping 5-0 win over Den Bosch.
Arouna Kone was the hero for the home side with a stunning hat-trick for the home side.
Sergio added a fourth before Sakou Cisse's late goal put the icing on the cake.
De Graafschap remain winless following a 2-1 home defeat to Den Haag.
Ferry Bodde put the visitors in front, however Darije Kalezic levelled matters for the home side on the hour mark.
However, De Graafschap's hopes of claiming a point evaporated when Youssef El Akchaoui bagged the winner.
