PSV Eindhoven were denied three points on Saturday when their game with ADO Den Haag was abandoned with ten minutes remaining.

Guus Hiddink's side top the Eredivisie and they seemed certain to extend their unbeaten run to eight games after Johan Vonlanthen had fired them into a two-goal lead.

However, a disturbance in the crowd prompted the game to be abandoned.

Referee Rene Temmink took exception to insults aimed at him by a section of the home crowd and suspended the game before confirming the abandonment following a small delay.

The Dutch FA are likely to view the game before making a decision on whether or not PSV will be handed the points or the game be re-played.

It could still turn out to be a good day for PSV, as they may be awarded the points and also major rivals Ajax suffered their first defeat of the season.

The champions seemed to be on course for victory over Heerenveen when Yannis Anastasiou put them in front from a corner, but they were stunned by a second half fightback from the Frisians.

Two goals in an eight-minute spell from Ugur Yildirim and Mika Vayrynen turned the game in favour of the visitors.

Ajax chased the game in the final ten minutes and Stefan Selakovic took advantage of the space to net a third for Heerenveen.

Den Bosch proved too good for RBC Roosendaal in a battle of two struggling clubs.

Charlie Van den Ouweland and Berry Powel did the damage for Den Bosch, with Bjorn Daelemans' effort proving nothing more than a consolation.
