Utrecht scored three late goals to Ajax 4-2 in the Dutch Super Cup on Sunday.Utrecht scored three goals in the dying stages to upset Eredivisie champions Ajax 4-2 in the Dutch Super Cup on Sunday.
Following a scoreless first half, Ajax took the lead when Steven Pienaar (pictured) made it 1-0 six minutes after the break.
However, Ronald Koeman's side were to go down to 10 men when Tom Soetaers was sent off a minute after taking the lead.
The man advantage would pay dividends for the Amstel Cup holders, as centre back Alje Schut headed home Utrecht's equaliser midway through the half.
Moments later, Utrecht were reduced to 10 men themselves, as midfielder Joost Broerse was given his marching orders.
With 10 minutes remaining, Ajax took the lead again when Wesley Sneijder came off the substitutes' bench to make it 2-1.
However, Belgian Hans Somers would make it 2-2 on 87 minutes before a frantic six minutes of injury time saw Utrecht score twice more for victory.
Somers scored his second goal in the first minute of injury time before Ajax's Maxwell put into his own net for 4-2 to give Utrecht another piece of domestic silverware before the start of the new Eredivisie season next weekend.
