Ajax defender Johnny Heitinga and Feyenoord forward Robin van Persie are in line to make their Dutch debuts after being named in Dick Advocaat's provisional party to face United States.

Heitinga has had a meteoric rise, having overcome serious injury to establish himself as a key member of Ronald Koeman's Ajax side.

The player's displays for Ajax this term have prompted Oranje boss Advocaat to take a closer look, as he formulates his plans for Euro 2004.

Van Persie has also been given the chance to prove himself at international level and will hope to show the form that prompted Arsenal to consider a bid for the forward during January's transfer window.

Another potential debutant is Heitinga's Ajax team-mate Nigel de Jong, who has also established himself as a regular this term at the tender age of 19.

Advocaat will name the rest of the squad for the February 18 friendly at some point next week.
