Witschge immediately said he had no plans to retire, a statement which alerted ambitious Gouden Gids Divisie pace-setters ADO.
Plans are already underway to offer the languid former Barcelona midfielder a deal at the end of the season.
ADO are eyeing a host of other players, including Ajax`s Richard Knopper, who is currently on loan at Aris Saloniki, and Igor Gluscevic of Utrecht.
