AJAX preserved their unbeaten record with a gutsy comeback to snatch a 2-2 draw at home to NAC Breda.

The Amsterdammers were chasing a sixth successive victory in the league but they were stunned by a double salvo from the visitors in the opening 20 minutes.

Kevin Bobson put NAC in front after just three minutes and when Earnie Stewart doubled the lead, Ajax were reeling.

But Zlatan Ibrahimovic reduced the arrears two minutes after the interval and Egyptian striker Mido salvaged a point for the hosts after the hour mark.

Heerenveen are still searching for their first win of the campaign after crashing to a 4-2 defeat at NEC Nijmegen.

Rob Wielaert and Jarda Simr fired NEC into a two-goal lead at the break and Youssouf Hersi extended the advantage on 56 minutes.

Stefan Selakovic pulled one back for Heerenveen before Dennis de Nooijer restored NEC's cushion while John de Jong grabbed a second consolation for the visitors.

Dave van den Bergh's 27th minute goal was enough to hand Utrecht the points at home to Vitesse Arnhem who had Marian Zeman sent off after just 16 minutes.

Excelsior earned an excellent 3-0 triumph at RKC Waalwijk, courtesy of a brilliant second half display.

Patrick Mtiliga gave the visitors the lead after half-time and his strike was added to by Leo Koswal before Brett Holman put the icing on the cake in the last minute.
