AJAX fringe player Mitchell Pique has accepted a loan deal with the Amsterdam outfit`s feeder club Haarlem.
The two clubs have had a cooperation agreement since March 2001, and Haarlem have taken advantage of this to boost their Gouden Gids Divisie challenge.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder played two games in the early part of the season, netting one goal in the win over RKC Waalwijk, but has failed to figure in recent weeks and has been allowed to leave on loan by Ronald Koeman.
Haarlem coach Heine Otto believes the youngster has the qualities required to fire them up the table, and it will also give him a chance to gain more experience.
Pique is no stranger to loan spells, having spent time with Twente last term.
