Mattias Johansson is not guaranteed to join Eredivisie leaders AZ Alkmaar this month, according to Kalmar FF's technical director.
Teenage defender Mattias Johansson is not guaranteed to join Eredivisie leaders AZ Alkmaar this month, according to Kalmar FF technical director Svante Samuelsson.
Dutch daily De Telegraaf reported on Monday the two clubs have agreed on a €1.5million (£1.2m) fee for the youngster and are set to unveil him later this week.
But while Samuelsson confirmed the clubs are in talks over the 19-year-old Swede, he insists there is no deal in place with Gertjan Verbeek's side.
He told Voetbal International: "They've been interested in him for a long time and we've been in discussion for a while but the transfer is not a foregone conclusion.
"Therefore I dare not say whether the transfer will materialise this month."
