Russian giants make second raid on Eredivisie this month

Swedish midfielder Pontus Wernbloom has departed AZ Alkmaar for CSKA Moscow on a four-and-a-half year deal. Wernbloom arrived at the club's training camp in Spain on Wednesday night after the deal, which will keep him at the Arena Khimki until summer 2016, was completed. CSKA, currently second in the Russian Premier League, confirmed the signing on their official website. The 25-year-old Sweden international arrives in Moscow having spent three seasons with Dutch leaders AZ since joining from native club Goteborg in 2009. He is the second Eredivisie player to make the move to CSKA during this month's transfer window after teenage forward Ahmed Musa joined the Russian giants last week.
