Joey Gudjonsson is rumoured to be seeking a move away from AZ Alkmaar during the January transfer window.
The midfielder was seen as the man to fill the void left by Denny Landzaat's departure to Wigan, but he has failed to truly settle in Alkmaar.
The 26-year-old Icelander has failed to nail down a regular starting berth under Louis van Gaal and it is being reported that he could head for pastures new in January.
AZ midfielder Stijn Schaars is set to undergo surgery on his ankle later in January.
Schaars has been dogged by an old injury for some time and the club have opted to send him for surgery which will rule him out for at least six weeks.
AZ goalkeeper Joey Didulica is also set to have ankle surgery before the month is out.
