Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder has pulled out of Holland's squad citing personal reasons.
The talented schemer has withdrawn from the forthcoming European Championship qualifiers against Luxembourg and Belarus on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.
Sneijder was also a noticeable absentee from Holland's game with Republic of Ireland two weeks ago, as his wife was due to give birth.
With the couple still awaiting the baby's arrival Sneijder has again elected to stay away from the Dutch camp.
In his place Holland have elected to call up previously uncapped AZ Alkmaar midfielder Demy de Zeeuw, a player who has proven his credentials as part of the Dutch side that won the Under-21 European Championship in June.
Rafael van der Vaart is another absentee after he pulled out with a thigh injury on Monday.
