Roda JC have completed the signing of Adil Ramzi from AZ Alkmaar.
The 29-year-old Moroccan has signed a two-year deal at the club after concurring on personal terms following productive discussions with Roda general director Huub Narinx.
Ramzi spent a good deal of last season on loan at Utrecht and his signature is clearly regarded as a notable coup on the part of Narinx, who is delighted with his latest signing.
"Adil is exactly the player which we were looking for," he concluded.
"He can play in various positions, in attack as well as midfield."
AZ have further purged their ranks after agreeing to let Danny Mathijssen move to NAC Breda.
The 23-year-old midfielder also spent last season away from his parent club, at RKC Waalwijk, but will now look to secure regular football at Breda.
"We are happy with the arrival of Danny, especially as he has a winning mentality," said NAC's technical director Earnie Stewart.
Meanwhile, AZ have been linked with an approach for RKC Waalwijk's promising 20-year-old stopper Ryan Donk.
