Eredivisie round-up

Feyenoord beat Twente Enschede in a six-goal thriller as Ajax lost to Roda JC.

Feyenoord squandered a two-goal lead to Twente Enschede before fighting back to claim a 4-2 success.

Things looked good at De Kuip when Salomon Kalou and Dirk Kuyt, the latter from the penalty spot, put the home side in firm control.

However, the visitors struck back before the break with Patrick Gerritsen and Blaise N'Kufo making it two-all at half time.

Feyenoord showed great character after the interval, with two goals in the space of four minutes from Kalou and Kuyt settling the contest.

Elsewhere, a brace from Erik Nevland helped Groningen to a 2-1 win over Vitesse Arnhem.

Richard Knopper pulled one back for Vitesse, but it was no more than a consolation.

Roda JC came from a goal down to claim a 2-1 success over European hopefuls Ajax.

Things began well for the visitors with Klaas Jan Huntelaar netting the opener at Parkstad Limburg Stadion.

However, the lead lasted less than 10 minutes with Olaf Lindenbergh's own goal levelling matters before the interval.

Ajax were up against it in the closing stages when Spanish full back Juanfran was dismissed and Roda took full advantage.

With just one minute left in the contest Edrissa Sonko popped up to claim the all-important winner.

AZ Alkmaar's home clash with NAC Breda was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
