PSV Eindhoven remain top of De Eredivisie after a 3-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.
The reigning champions were boosted by a double from Jefferson Farfan as they possessed too much class for their opponents.
Farfan put PSV ahead on 35 minutes and the hosts were further in front just 60 seconds later through DaMarcus Beasley.
Sparta managed to restrict PSV to just one goal in the second half with Farfan netting again on 75 minutes.
AZ Alkmaar lose ground on PSV after throwing away a two-goal lead at home to Heracles, who equalised in injury time through their goalkeeper.
The hosts were on course to pick up another three points after goals from Tarik Sektioui (42) and top scorer Shota Arveladze (56).
Dennis Calincov reduced the arrears within two minutes of Arveladze's goal and keeper Martin Pieckenhagen headed a surprise equaliser in the last minute.
Pierre van Hooijdonk scored an injury time equaliser to earn NAC Breda a point after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Roda JC Kerkrade.
Van Hooijdonk put the visitors ahead on 15 minutes before Sergio levelled the game after 25 minutes.
Andres Oper's goal on the cusp of half time had Roda in front, only for Rob Penders' 65th minute effort to restore parity.
Laszlo Bodnar's 84th minute strike looked to be enough to seal the points for Roda but van Hooijdonk had different ideas as he pounced in the last minute.
Willem II continue to struggle at the bottom end of the table after losing 3-1 at Twente Enschede.
Guillermo Alfonso broke the deadlock for Twente two minutes after half time and Blaise N'Kufo netted the first of his two goals on 58 minutes.
Kevin Bobson's goal midway through the second half brought Willem II back in to the contest, only for N'Kufo to score from the penalty spot 10 minutes from time to hand Twente the win.
