Eredivisie round-up

Feyenoord's unbeaten record went up in smoke on Sunday.

Feyenoord's unbeaten record went up in smoke on Sunday, as they were beaten 3-0 by Utrecht at De Kuip, while Ajax romped past Den Bosch.

Ruud Gullit's side have started the season brightly and were expected to keep the run going in front of their home fans on Sunday.

However, things did not go according to plan as goals from Alje Schut, Hans Somers and Joost Broerse condemned them to defeat.

Feyenoord were on the back foot on the half hour, as Schut headed Utrecht ahead following good work from Stefaan Tanghe.

Utrecht weathered a spell of pressure and sealed the three points two minutes from time when Somers fired home, with Tanghe again the provider. Broerse put a seal on the match with an injury-time headed third.

Ajax bounced back from their European defeat to Juventus to hand out a lesson to Den Bosch.

Dutch stars Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart (2) and Nigel de Jong and Czech ace Zdenek Grygera put Den Bosch to the sword.

Roda fought back from a goal down to snatch a point from their home clash with AZ Alkmaar.

Denny Landzaat had AZ ahead inside 60 minutes, but they were pegged back by Sergio's effort ten minutes from time.

Arouna Kone came on as a second half substitute for Roda, his first appearance since his proposed move to Ajax fell through.
