AZ Alkmaar's European hopes suffered a setback after they threw away a two-goal lead to draw at home to NAC Breda.

The hosts had looked good for the points after taking a 2-0 advantage into the break but they were pegged back by NAC in the second half.

Martijn Meerdink opened the scoring for AZ on 35 minutes and four minutes later, Denny Landzaat (pictured) doubled the advantage.

Ali Boussaboun brought NAC back into the match on 58 minutes and Anouar Diba snatched a point for the visitors with 12 minutes remaining.

Roda JC Kerkrade ensured they remain in sixth spot after gaining a battling 2-1 success at rivals Twente Enschede.

Ivan Vicelich put Roda ahead on 13 minutes but Twente were level before the break courtesy of Adil Ramzi.

The visitors stole all three points eight minutes from time when Cristiano nabbed an important winner.

ADO Den Haag boosted their survival prospects with a gritty 1-0 success over European chasing Heerenveen.

Peter Hofstede scored the only goal of the contest just after half time to lift ADO six points clear of the relegation zone.

Willem II Tilburg remain seventh in the table with an emphatic 3-0 thrashing of RBC Roosendaal at home.

Tom Caluwe scored from the penalty spot on the half hour mark to ensure Willem II went in at the break in front.

Caluwe notched again midway through the second period and Romano Denneboom put added sheen on the scoreline with a third goal seven minutes from time.
