Eredivisie Round-Up

AZ Alkmaar were surprisingly beaten 5-1 by Roda, while champions PSV Eindhoven came from behind to beat NEC Nijmegen 3-2.

AZ were looking to close the gap on Ronald Koeman's Ajax, but they were clinically beaten by Roda.

Roda opened the scoring on 45 minutes when Ger Senden hit the target. Yannis Anastasiou grabbed a brace, while Ivan Vicelich and Aroune Kone added to Roda's total, meaning Ali Elkhattabi's effort on 68 minutes was a mere consolation.

PSV showed real spirit to recover from two goals down to win 3-2 at NEC. The home side looked like running away with the game when Bjorn van der Doelen and Frank Demouge scored on four and eight minutes respectively.

However, John de Jong reduced the arrears on the quarter-hour and two goals late in the game by Mateja Kezman turned the game on its head and secured the three points for PSV.

Willem II netted three goals in each half to thrash Volendam 6-0.

James Quinn, Kew Jaliens and Tom Caluwe netted in the opening 45 minutes, with Dmitri Shoukov, Denny Landzaat and an own goal from Gerry Koning killing off Volendam.

Goals in each half from Nourdin Boukhari and Henk Vos gave NAC Breda a 2-0 win at Zwolle.

Feyenoord had a comfortable win over Vitesse Arnhem, as Dirk Kuyt's late effort added to first half goals from Robin van Persie and Patrick Paauwe.
