IT was goals galore in Saturday's Dutch action as the big three of PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and Ajax racked up 12 goals between them on the way to wins over FC Zwolle, AZ Alkmaar and FC Groningen respectively.

PSV maintained their four-point lead at the top of the table as they were the day's top scorers when they handed out a 6-0 battering to FC Zwolle.

The hosts were amazingly 4-0 up after just 12 minutes of play at the Philips Stadion, with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink kicking off the goal glut in the very first minute.

Mateja Kezman scored twice in five minutes before Mark van Bommel added a fourth after 12 minutes, and there was still time in the half for Kezman to grab a hat-trick inside just 25 frantic minutes.

The second half was a quite affair in contrast to the action in the first-half, with just Arjen Robben's strike adding to Zwolle's misery to complete a 6-0 scoreline over the bottom side in the table.

Ajax stay in second behind PSV and had a much harder time of things at home against a battling FC Groningen.

Andy van der Meyde and Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the Amsterdammers 2-0 up just before the hour but Melchior Schoenmakers reduced the arrears and Ajax had to ride out the final 15 minutes to edge a 2-1 win.

Feyenoord were also in the mood for goals and hit AZ Alkmaar with a three-goal blitz in five first-half minutes to effectively seal the game.

Robin van Persie (13), Pierre van Hooijdonk (16) and Bonaventure Kalou (18) put the visitors in total charge and van Hooijdonk added his second to make it 4-0 on the half hour.

Jan Kromkamp scored a solitary consolation for the hosts five minutes before the end but the game had already been won in the first 30 minutes.

Willem II were not to be outdone in Saturday's goal feast as they hammered visiting Roda JC 5-0.

Jatto Ceesay got the goals underway with his 21st minutes strike and former West Brom man James Quinn followed him onto the scoresheet six minutes later.

Denny Landzaat made it 3-0 three minutes after half-time before Dmitri Shoukov grabbed a brace to give Willem II an impressive 5-0 win.

NAC Breda heaped more pressure on Excelsior Rotterdam as they managed a 2-1 home win despite being reduced to ten men.

Orlando Engelaar put NAC ahead on 21 minutes but the hosts found themselves a man down when Nebojsa Gudelj was given his marching orders on 51 minutes.

Brett Holman gave 11-man Excelsior hope of getting something from the game only for Alfred Schreuder to grab all three points for Breda with his 77th minute effort.
