Former Arsenal and Rangers full-back Giovanni van Bronckhorst will take over as coach of Feyenoord in the summer.
Van Bronckhorst, who started and ended his playing career at De Kuip, is currently assistant to Fred Rutten at the club, but will be promoted at the end of the season.
"[The appointment] fills me with pride and I am extremely grateful for the confidence that Feyenoord has placed in me," he told the club's official website.
"As an assistant coach, I learned a lot from both Ronald Koeman as Fred Rutten."
Feyenoord currently lie third in the Eredivisie.
