NEC Nijmegen have signed Geoffrey Castillion and Danzell Gravenberch from Eredivisie rivals Ajax on loan for the season.
Forward Castillion, 22, was set to join Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv last week but the deal fell through after his medical.
He will instead join versatile defender Gravenberch, 19, in a temporary move to the Eredivisie's bottom club.
NEC technical director Edo Ophof told the club's website: "With Geoffrey and Danzell we are one step closer to the desired strength of the squad.
"Danzell is a multi-functional player who can be used in multiple positions while Geoffrey will provide a dynamic focal point in attack."
Further moves are likely this month as NEC look to boost their fight against relegation.
Ophof added: "We have until 31 January to find a final quality boost, so we continue to look at possible options that make NEC better."
