FC Utrecht have been handed a double injury blow after it was revealed that Jacob Mulenga and Cedric van der Gun will both be out until the new year.
Mulenga came off after 12 minutes during the 3-1 defeat to Vitesse before the international break and tests revealed the 29-year-old Zambian has suffered a thigh strain.
Winger Van der Gun, meanwhile, has suffered a knee injury in training and will also be out until after the winter break.
A statement on www.fcutrecht.nl read: "Jacob Mulenga suffered a thigh injury on Saturday in the match against Vitesse.
"An MRI scan revealed that the Zambian has strained a muscle in his right thigh. This means that the attacker will not be action before the winter break.
"Cedric van der Gun is also not in action for the winter. The attacker was injured this week in training."
