FC Twente's Brazilian-born defender Douglas has been drafted into the Holland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The 24-year-old, who was handed a Dutch passport last November, could be in line for his international debut.
Holland take on Andorra at De Kuip on Friday before going up against Romania in Bucharest four days later.
Boss Louis van Gaal initially named a 20-man squad for the two matches and is already without Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Tim Krul and Jetro Willems who are all injured.
The coach is rebuilding the team after a disappointing Euro 2012 campaign, which saw his predecessor Bert van Marwijk lead the Netherlands to three straight defeats and elimination.
