Heerenveen have boosted their defensive options with the signing of versatile Christian Kum from ADO Den Haag.
The 26-year-old was looking for a new challenge after eight years with ADO and he was previously linked with a move to Swansea City.
He has become new Heerenveen coach Marco van Basten's sixth summer signing, following Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Marten de Roon, Mark Uth, Jukka Raitala and Matthew Amoah into the club.
In other changes, Heerenveen top scorer Bas Dost has already left for Wolfsburg, while wingers Luciano Narsingh and Oussama Assaidi are being linked with a move away.
