Young forward taking nothing for granted
AZ Alkmaar forward Erik Falkenburg does not expect to automatically be handed a starting spot against Heerenveen this weekend despite impressing in Europe.
The Eredivisie leaders travel to Heerenveen on Sunday without Pontus Wernbloom, who is still suspended.
Falkenburg filled in impressively for him on Wednesday night when AZ held Malmo FF to a goalless UEFA Europa League draw in Sweden.
But the attacking midfielder is taking nothing for granted ahead of the weekend clash.
"That could happen," he told the club's official website when asked if he would fill Wernbloom's boots again.
"But now I just want to recover from this game. It is hard to look ahead to Sunday."
