Out-of-favour keeper to return home to Brazil

PSV Eindhoven have announced they have released goalkeeper Cassio Ramos, who will now return home to Brazil. The 24-year-old, who joined from native club Gremio back in 2007, struggled to find regular first-team action at the Philips Stadion. Ramos only made three appearances for PSV, spending six months on loan at Sparta Rotterdam in 2009. With Andreas Isaksson firmly in possession of the No.1 jersey, the Brazilian has been deemed surplus to requirements in Eindhoven. It is not known whether he has already signed with a club in his homeland but Ramos says he is looking forward to his next move. "I hope to learn as much in Brazil as I have learned here at PSV. Both personally and professionally, I have really improved," he told PSV's official website. "The people will always have my respect and I will always remember PSV. Thank you so much to everyone."
