ADO Den Haag's star midfielder Lex Immers admits his dream move to Feyenoord is unlikely to materialise before the transfer window closes.
The Rotterdammers are thought to have had an €800,000 bid rejected by ADO this summer, with the Kyocera Stadion club insisting the Dutchman is worth more.
Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has made it clear the cash-strapped outfit will not be tabling a higher offer for the 25-year-old, telling NU Sport: "There will be no new bid for him."
Immers has accepted he will not be moving to De Kuip, but has not ruled out joining another club.
"There's nothing doing," he told AD of the collapsed Feyenoord negotiations.
"I'd like to play at a nice club like Feyenoord but if it's not to be then it's not to be.
"I'm not despairing. Maybe there is another great club for me that suits ADO. It may still happen by September 1st.
"Otherwise I'll just keep playing for ADO, because that's my club. I don't see it as a penalty to stay here and play."
