Defensive midfielder Rasmus Lindgren has departed Ajax to join Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old Swede has spent his entire senior career to date in Holland, helping the Godenzonen to the Eredivisie title last season.
He was in his second stint at the Amsterdam club, and had also spent time at Dutch rivals FC Groningen.
Salzburg coach Ricardo Moniz told his club's official website: "We wanted a player in his position to help us. We are glad that it worked out.
"We have only three weeks until the start of the season and our quality has clearly been improved."
