Starlet Stefan de Vrij has handed Feyenoord a boost by committing his future to the club until June 2014.
The sought-after defender had been linked with a move away from Rotterdam this summer, with Arsenal among those reportedly chasing his signature.
De Vrij had also stated his dream of playing for a Spanish club, with Primera Liga giants Barcelona on his wish-list.
But the 19-year-old, who was previously contracted with Feyenoord until 2012, has ended transfer talk by penning a new deal.
De Vrij told the club's official website: "I am very happy that I can keep playing [at] this great club.
"I am convinced that I can continue to develop at Feyenoord and thus be a better footballer."
De Vrij has notched up 30 Eredivisie appearances for Feyenoord this season, and technical director Martin van Geel is confident there is more to come from the teenager.
He said: "Stefan will get help to become a very important player for Feyenoord. He has developed well, but is still only at the beginning of his career.
"Stefan de Vrij and Feyenoord [have] a bright future together."
