ADO Den Haag winger Wesley Verhoek has poured cold water on speculation he is set to join Ajax in the summer.
The 24-year-old, who is contracted at ADO until next June, has been heavily linked with a move to Amsterdam at the end of the season, with some reports in the Dutch media claiming the deal has already been wrapped up.
But Verhoek has rubbished such claims, insisting he is happy at his current club and wants to remain at the Kyocera Stadion.
"I'm getting a little tired of the media and their claims I have joined Ajax already," he told Haaglanden Football.
"There's nothing to do with Ajax and again I am having a great time here and I just want to stay."
ADO's chances of reaching the Europa League play-offs took a blow last Friday when they lost at home to defending Eredivisie champions and current leaders FC Twente.
But Verhoek insists his side are saving their best performances for the big games as they bid to clinch a European spot.
"I've said before, we play our best games against the top teams in the Netherlands," he said.
"I have had a great season and want to help Den Haag bring European football here.
"Our game certainly offers good prospects for the play-offs."
