Morocco winger Anouar Diba has departed FC Twente, the club have confirmed.
The 27-year-old, formerly of NAC Breda, was contracted until the end of the season at the Enschede outfit after impressing on trial last year.
However, the forward has failed to secure a regular first-team spot and has chosen to leave the reigning Eredivisie champions by mutual consent after making just two appearances.
Diba, born in Holland but of Moroccan descent, is understood to have made a return to the Middle East having previously played for Al-Wakrah and Al-Nasr.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf is reporting the winger to have made a return to Al-Wakrah on a one-and-a-half year deal.
