PSV have confirmed the signing of defender Marcelo Antionio Guedes Filho for a fee believed to be in the region of £2.5million.
The Brazilian arrives from Polish side Wisla Krakow and will act as a direct replacement for Andre Ooijer, who is set to join AEK Larnaca on a bosman.
The Dutch side, who finished third in the Eredivisie last season, had been left light at centre-half with Dirk Marcellis having also joined AZ Alkmaar.
Marcelo, 23, began his career at hometown club Santos and is known to be a goal threat, boasting ten goals over his two seasons in Poland's top flight.
Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen were also believed to be in the hunt for his signature, but PSV boss Fred Rutten has beaten the Germans to it.
