Ajax defender open to a move to Heerenveen in January
Ajax defender Rob Wielaert is open to a switch to Eredivisie rivals Heerenveen in the January transfer window.
Heerenveen have enquired about the 30-year-old, who wants to leave the Amsterdam ArenA after finding his opportunities limited to just three starts in the top flight this season.
His representative Kees Ploegsma believes Heerenveen would be a good fit for the player, who only joined Ajax in the last January transfer window.
Ploegsma told De Telegraaf newspaper: "(Heerenveen director) Yme Kuiper has inquired and is interested in Rob.
Answer yes
"The answer was yes because Rob believes Heerenveen is a good club.
"It is now up to Ajax and Heerenveen to discuss what the possibilities are and
whether he goes on loan or permanently."
