Heerenveen striker going nowhere

Heerenveen striker Bonaventure Kalou has expressed his happiness with life in the Eredivisie. The Ivorian midfielder, brother of Chelsea's Salomon Kalou, has enjoyed an excellent season with Heerenveen after joining from Al-Jazira Club last summer. He had played for Feyenoord earlier in his career before moving on to spend time with Auxerre, Paris St Germain and Lens. Kalou is now happy to be back in Holland and has put an end to speculation about his future by stressing his commitment to the club. "I am happy to have won the Dutch Cup," the 31-year-old, who has previously been linked with a switch to the Premier League, told skysports.com. "We deserve to win something after years of waiting for a trophy. "For myself it has been a good year. I was very low before I came here, my career took a wrong direction. "But now I am happy and my ambition is to impress the national coach of Ivory Coast."
