PSV Eindhoven have reiterated their desire to bring Andre Ooijer back to Holland.

Rovers defender could get move back to former club

PSV Eindhoven have reiterated their desire to bring Andre Ooijer back to Holland. However, they are not yet in a position to firm up a deal for the Holland international. The Blackburn defender has already declared his intention to return to his homeland when his contract at Ewood Park expires at the end of the season. PSV technical director Adrie van Kraaij confirmed that Ooijer was a serious candidate to return to the Philips Stadion, where he spent nine years before joining Rovers in 2006. "Not everything is decided and everything depends on other circumstances," Van Kraaij told Eindhovens Daglbad. PSV cannot firm up a deal for Ooijer or other targets yet as they are still to finalise a full-time successor for coach Huub Stevens, who left the club last month. Dwight Lodeweges is currently caretaker coach at the club.
