Danish winger Dennis Rommedahl has joined NEC Nijmegen on loan from Eredivisie rivals Ajax.
The former Charlton Athletic man has slipped down the pecking order at the Amsterdam ArenA and has been allowed to leave on a temporary basis.
NEC have been looking to add greater width to their squad and see Rommedahl as an ideal addition.
The former PSV Eindhoven man has spent 18 months with Ajax after leaving The Valley but has struggled to secure regular action.
Mario Been's side are currently eighth in the Eredivisie table and have lost their last two fixtures.
