PSV Eindhoven have stepped up their bid to land Swedish striker Ola Toivonen after fellow Eredivisie sides Feyenoord and FC Groningen declared their interest.
PSV's general director will travel to Sweden to watch the striker play for his club side Malmo FF against Hammarby.
It is rumoured that after monitoring the player's progress for some time that a decision on whether to make an official offer will be reached after the match.
The 22-year-old is a regular for the Sweden U-21 side and has two caps for the senior side.
In a bid to catch their rivals unaware PSV are expected to make a concrete offer in the January transfer window.
The player himself is keeping his feet on the ground and told the Dutch media: "I am very honoured such a big club is interested in me.
"I can't afford to let my head get in the clouds. I have to focus on my own game."
