Eric Addo has vowed to be fighting fit for PSV after an ankle injury had kept him out of the Dutch club's pre-season campaign.
The Ghanaian centre-back has joined the team in Portugal in the run up to the season's openers, after his injury ruled him out of action for five weeks.
Addo's return will be a major boost to his Dutch team-mates who look to defend their league title.
He should also be back in contention to face Libya for his national side in the next World Cup qualifier in September.
"It's good to join pre-season. I have been out for five weeks so I am a bit late," he told skysports.com.
"But I will do my best to be ready in the next two to three weeks.
"I am looking forward to this season, it will be exciting especially with being involved in the Champions League, the World Cup qualifiers and the African Cup of Nations."
