Vitesse Arnhem have dumped Anders Due in the reserves after comments the midfielder made in the media were deemed to have broken the club's internal rules.

Due, who has played just 25 league games since arriving at Vitesse from FC Nordsjælland in summer 2006, has not featured in the last two games and was forced to sit in the stands against Ajax.

His punishment for venting his frustration at a lack of opportunities in Aad de Mos's side was stated on the club's official website: "Against Omroep Gelderland, Due expressed his disappointment. His statements are contrary to internal rules."

Vitesse are now expected to allow the 25-year-old to leave the club.

Sansoni deal

The Dutch side however, are keen to keep hold of defender Sébastien Sansoni.

The 29-year-old Frenchman's contract is due to expire at the end of the season, but Vitesse plan to utilise the option of a year-long extension.
