PSV Eindhoven have dismissed reports they are ready to sell Ismail Aissati to arch-rivals Ajax.
Director Jan Rekers revealed Ajax had made an approach for Aissati, whose contract runs until 2009, but insisted there were no plans to offload the midfielder.
"It is absolutely not true that the club have offered Aissati to Ajax," Rekers told the club's website.
"PSV absolutely do not want to sell him and I have let [Ajax director] Maarten Fontein know that. We want to break open his contract, revalue, and extend it."
Meanwhile, PSV defender Jan Kromkamp faces four weeks on the sidelines after surgery to remove scar tissue in his knee.
Kromkamp has been plagued with knee problems but should be fit for his side's 12th January clash with Feyenoord.
