Ajax have confirmed that Edgar Davids has broken his leg.The 34-year-old midfielder sustained the injury during a pre-season friendly against Go-Ahead Eagles - which was later abandoned due to crowd violence.
The Amsterdam giants have stated that they expect Davids to be sidelined for three months.
"Edgar Davids has broken the shin bone in his left leg in the abandoned friendly match against Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday," said the Ajax statement.
"The midfielder is expected to be sidelined for at least three months."
