Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Eugen Polanski will be out of action for two weeks with a groin injury.
The 20-year-old, who starred in for Germany's Under-21 team against England last week, missed Saturday's 3-1 Bundesliga home win over Wolfsburg and is now a certain absentee when the Foals attempt to pick up their first away points of the season at Hertha Berlin next weekend.
"This is a typical injury resulting from tiredness," said Gladbach coach Jupp Heynckes.
"With the Under-21 games, Eugen hasn't had any break at all over the past two weeks."
Good news for Heynckes, however, is that Dane Bo Svensson looks likely to be fit for the trip to Berlin and could well take his place in the starting line-up as Polanski's replacement.
